Mark Warner rocks YDA conference in Vegas

June 11, 2006 By centralmaguy

Mark Warner just got off the stage at the Young Democrats of America conference here in Vegas. I’m proud to say that the MA delegation was strongly supportive of the former governor of Virginia, most sporting Mark Warner t-shirts and “President Mark Warner 2008” pins. Indeed, I did my best to get out more pins to people and worked with many others to make sure they were wearing their shirts.

Warner gave a speech that drew frequent applause from the over 100 young Democrats who managed to make it into the room after a long night out on the town. Caffeine was everybody’s friend today!

Warner took questions from the room on issues ranging from education reform, disability issues, health care reform, and foreign policy. The audience was receptive to what the Governor had to say, primarily that politics needs to be more future- and results-oriented.

Warner had a friendly crowd!

More later, I have to hit the town one last time before catching the red eye express back to the Bay State.
