With the convention rapidly approaching, the Gov and LtGov campaigns are firing off press releases faster than anyone can keep up with them. A couple of recent highlights:
- Deval Patrick has broken the one-month record for fundraising in a Massachusetts gubernatorial primary, having raised $470,000 in May. The previous record, also set by Patrick, was $391,000 in April. And he’ll have a big headstart on June fundraising, with the Barack Obama event tonight and a likely post-convention bump for the rest of the month.
- Congressman Steve Lynch has endorsed Tim Murray for Lieutenant Governor.
I believe that Lynch’s endorsement is only the second one from our congressional delegation in the LG race[UPDATE: I’m a dope, as sco points out in the comments. Murray also has the endorsements of Congressmen Neal and McGovern.] Barney Frank endorsed Deb Goldberg long ago. - Also, as has already been noted here, Congressman John Olver endorsed Deval Patrick for Governor. Patrick now has the endorsements of half the congressional delegation (Olver, Frank, Capuano, Tierney, and McGovern). Reilly has two (Neal and Meehan), Gabrieli has none, and three (Markey, Lynch, and Delahunt) have so far not committed.
More to come, no doubt.
Please share widely!

I got a letter from Barney last night urging me to vote for Bill Galvin, so the Congressman has filled his slate …

…for a big story on Patrick’s historic fundraising month, and how the combination of his deep and broad grassroots fundraising base plus his own wealth make him a more formidable candidate than was thought early this year.
