The Globe reports that the state Senate finally followed the House’s lead and voted 25-8 otday to allow over-the-counter syringe sales to combat the spread of HIV and Hepatitis C. This now puts liberal massachusetts in line with 47 other states in enacting this common sense measure (but of course, those must have been the 47 fringiest, out-there, freakiest liberal states, right?).
Of course, Romney sounds like he may veto it. The legislature has the votes to override, but the slower this goes, the more people are likely to become infected before it passes.
