I tried to link to an image at my Picasa Gallery (beta test for Google Picasa) – no-can-do so I moved the image to my pbase gallery, which does allow external links to images…

(however, since my browser “remembers” my google id/pw it displayed the image for me…)
maybe check its URL in your post?
