I called my senator (he actually answered the phone!) today to urge him to vote Yes on amendment and he was clueless about it. He was confusing it with the ACT ballot initiative of Health Care for All. What is so discouraging is this senator has received tons of mail favoring the amendment and tons of calls, emails (I know because I have volunteered for the amendment for one year and have personally helped with these various communications), and he is still not informed about the amendment. He also called the recent legislation as sweeping. So, I told him okay call it what you want but to make it real and lasting, we need the amendment. He said he receives lots of mail! He will look into it but unlikely to vote yes at con con. I should not be surprised..he is a romney puppet. Come to state house at 11-1 to show support for amendment – we have tee shirts and a crowd might make a difference. Keeping fingers crossed.
