OCPF shows that Kerry Healey paid $32,442 on 6/23 to Red October Productions, a Republican media outfit. Here’s their portfolio of previous work, including spots for President Bush and Sen. Mel Martinez (R-FL). Generally pretty soft-focus, benign stuff … little girls riding bicycles, etc. How much does Healey need to spend for “cuddly”?
Another expenditure of interest is $26,000 on 6/15 to Public Opinion Strategies, a Republican polling firm. Pollster Bill McInturff is the biggest name there.
Update: Also interesting is total of $30,00 since May to Gray Media Group, who also advises Romney, PhRMA, BU, the MBTA, (and formerly Grabauskas for Treasurer, interestingly) and others. Dominick Ianno, former head of the state Republican Party, is the person of interest there:
… Ianno was known as a smooth media hand with a knack for opposition research … “Iâve been in this business now for more than 20 years, and Dominick is one of the most skilled political strategists Iâve come across during that time,” [Romney adviser Charley] Manning says. “We were really fortunate to have him.”
