According to the Iraq War Cost Counter maintained by the National Priorities Project, Massachusetts’ share of the cost of the war in Iraq has topped $8.5 billion. Not to mention our dead and wounded, the thousands of National Guard reservists deployed to the Middle East, and the high gas prices that probably are due in part to the war. At least Bush’s friends in the oil industry are doing well.
