“Can a Democrat win in September and November without saying he’ll roll back the income tax to 5%? Why or why not?

Something like, Which tax is more out of control, the income tax, or the property tax? Which matters most to which voters?

All the campaigns have positions posted on their web pages, but nobody expects any of the candidates, except, perhaps Mihos and Gabrielli, actually sat down and wrote those position papers. Certainly nobody expects a Governor to do that. Therefore the critical question which NOBODY in ANY medium has has ANY of the candidates, is who the hell is advising them?

This is a particularly nasty problem in a state and campaign that is supposed to contrast markedly with the national government led by George W. and Darth Vader Cheyney. The ONLY way to make the next governorship contrast in transparency is to ASK THE HARD QUESTIONS.

Who’s going to ask?

From what I have read and debated at BMG it sounds like the following question are appropriate:
<
p>
1. How big a factor to voters is the theory of having a Republican governor to counter balance the legislature? Who is best positioned on the Dem side to counter this?
<
p>
2. The current administration seems to be getting a free ride from the average voter with respect to rising real estate taxes and cuts in local government. What can the Dems candidates do, if anything to link this to Republican policy?
<
p>
3. Do you think linking Kerry Healey to Mitt Romney and the national Republican Party will be effective.
<
p>
4. How big of a deal will the electability factor play in Dem race, especially given the difference on the tax rollback?
<
p>
5. What is your opinion of âFramingâ and who is/will winning the Framing battle?
<
p>
6. Is there a point when a grassroots campaign must cross over and get mainstream support to win a statewide election? What was the last state or national grassroots campaign to win?
