I just can’t figure out why no one ever visits this site. I mean, there are more lefties in Cambridge than you can shake a stick at yet you are only getting a couple of thousand people a week looking at the website? You guys on this blog will never get it. If all the blogs on the internet were islands, this one would be the equivalent of an uncharted Pacific atoll.
Maybe it is because your arrogance knows no bounds. You know better than everyone else. You all seem to have all the answers. You guys and gals are sooooo bright. If someone writes anything that runs counter to your narrow and distorted view of the world you marginalize them. If someone has the audacity not to agree with your ultimate truths you ridicule them or just ignore them altogether.
Your hubris (and that of the people who have wrested control of my party) is the reason why the Democrats have lost time and time again. You guys could not even beat Cellucci for Christ’s sake!! You pathetic losers have poisoned the oasis that was the Democratic Party and have left us with a pitiful little vernal pool. Why does no one come to this site? An ad entitled “Why Mommy is a Democrat” says it all.
First, traffic is a couple thousand a day, not a couple thousand a week. And it’s steadily growing.

Second, we don’t write the ads. We just take the money from the people who want to run them. It’s not my favorite ad either, but whatever.

Why do I care? I care because I am a Democrat who hates seeing what you people are doing to the party. Your smarmy retort to my posting only buttresses my central theme that you self-appointed controllers of the Democratic message just donât get it. Your elitism, arrogance and zealotry makes reasonable people uncomfortable. It is unfortunate that you will just keep on doing what you have been doing, because that means you will continue driving the party into the ground.

For example if one is anti-abortion or anti-gay marriage they are immediately put in your dust bin. If they object to the blatant race hustling of Deval Patrick they are labeled âhaters.â If they believe that illegal immigration threatens the fabric of the nation they are called âfascists.â My party is now run by leftist fringe groups and, as a result, we can look forward to more and more Republican executives, be they in Washington DC or on Beacon Hill. Once upon a time there was a thing called a âconservative Democratâ and another thing called a âmiddle of the road Democratâ. You and your ilk are seeing to it that those types of Democrats jump ship. You are doing one hell of a job by the way.
Are we an uncharted Pacific atoll that no one is paying attention to, or are we somehow so influential that we’re driving the party to destruction? Can’t be both. Me, I’d say it’s neither.

And actually, it’s you that doesn’t “get it.” Don’t you think it’s kind of nifty that on this website that is supposedly so intolerant of dissenting viewpoints, you can post something like this, and it doesn’t get deleted by the site administrators? Don’t you see it as anti-“elitist” that anyone who wants to can come to this site and post their views for the community to read and react to? Sure, it’s fair to say that the majority of people who actively comment on this site are left of center – but there’s a substantial population of “conservative Democrats” (just ask Ernie Boch, III), and some Republicans (bostonshepherd and Peter Porcupine) as well – and that’s just the active commenters. And I myself am probably a lot more moderate than you think I am.

So, Ernie Boch III is your one token conservative Democrat? Of all of the thousands of visitors to your site all you can come up with Ernie Boch III? Ernie is not a bad guy and he makes some sense. I like Ernie and I respect what he has to say. If his opinion is so valued by you, why is he constantly getting bad ratings from the BMG cabal? Why do you avoid the issues that he raises? The BMG mantra seems to be “Ignore him and he’ll just go away.”
The fact that you could only produce Ernie is telling. David, you seem to be a nice guy. Put down the Kool Aid and listen to me, your site is severely slanted and people like Porcupine and Ernie are routinely marginalized and belittled by BMG bigwigs. I won’t even mention poor old jdhaverhill. A little balance could go a long way.

In response to your invective let me say that I truly believe that Deval Patrick is a race hustler who really puts the Reverends Sharpton and Jackson to shame. He left the Clinton Justice Department and immediately started raking in millions of dollars from huge corporations. How much $$ from Coca Cola? Millions and Millions. Did he come up with a new flavor? I don’t think so. Regarding the inclusion of links suggestion, thanks for the editorial assistance. BTW what does WTF mean?
