I’m on NECN’s NewsNight (hosted by Chet Curtis, filling in for Jim Braude) again tonight. Also appearing is the Globe’s political editor, David Dahl, and Matt Margolis, of the differently-winged HubPolitics.
Show starts at 7 pm. Should be interesting!
Please share widely!

if anyone can easily tell me the ballpark figure for having Tivo, that’d be great–maybe next time I can record David on NECN! (just got my 2 kids to bed so couldn’t have turned the set on earlier anyhow…)

and David, in a belated reply to your and another person’s scepticism re my comment about youth violence and creation of a universal healthcare system, I was speaking of the multifactoral issues that impact violent behavior.

And yes, I’ll stand by the notion that having an actual healthcare system, rather than the disease-cure model that dominates at present, would help to address the underlying causes that contribute to the current escalation of youth violence.

I mentioned before, Dr Deborah Prothrow Stith ‘s work is a resource to back up this assertion; here’s an excerpt from the link to her: “As a physician working in inner-city Boston, she broke new ground with her efforts to have youth violence defined as a public health problem; not just a criminal justice issue. Her passion for prevention was not satisfied with the emergency room work of stitching people up and sending them out.

Saw the whole thing, and you both did a good job. Got a kind of psychic boost in having the Globe blogger treated the same as Matt and David.
