Join us for the Boston-area premiere of the documentary short “HOW TO IMPEACH A PRESIDENT”, a 30-minute film based on the Center for Constitutional Rights’ book Articles of Impeachment Against George W. Bush.
Learn about The Center for Constitutional Rights case for impeachment: why it is necessary, whats at stake, and what you can do to help stop the Bush administration’s seemingly unchecked lawlessness.
The film will be followed by a discussion on impeachment. We will cover the legal basis for impeachment, current political impediments, strategies to overcome them, and the status of impeachment activism locally and around the country.
Our featured speaker of the evening will be renowned constitutional expert and civil rights attorney, John Bonifaz. Mr. Bonifaz is founder and general counsel of the National Voting Rights Institute, co-founder of AfterDowningStreet.org, and author of the Warrior-King: The Case for Impeaching George Bush [Nation Books, January 2004, forward by Rep. John Conyers (D-MI)]. John Bonifaz is also a current Democratic candidate for Secretary of State for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
