Someone is standing against the “Give War A Chance” strategy of the Bush Administration in the Middle East: Democrat Phil Dunkelbarger, who is running against US Rep. Steven Lynch in the MA 9th Congressional District:
The U.S. should insist on an immediate ceasefire.
The United States is, and will continue to be, committed to the preservation of the State of Israel, and we should condemn Hezbollahs wanton acts of violence, targeting Israeli civilian population. But we need to be equally committed to the protection and political and human rights of all other peoples in the Middle East as well. Concerning the continuing violence in Lebanon, it is unconscionable that the U.S. is not exerting all its influence towards achieving an immediate ceasefire.
… Oh by the way, all wars are environmental disasters, and this one’s the Mediterranean’s worst ever.

But, in all seriousness, this is probably just another major distinction between Dunkel and the incumbent.

I’m still hoping the media starts to pick up this race because how cool would it be to have a mini Lieberman-Lamont right here in the Greater Boston area?

Even just being pragmatic, the media could be capitalizing on the Lamont-Lieberman race and be making BUNDLES on the 9th Congressional Race.

We at Saint Kermit (http://www.saintkerm…) interviewed Mr. Dunkelbarger on Sunday and have the interview posted as part of our podcast this week. Dunkelbarger really believes that a Lamont victory in Connecticut today bodes well for him.
