Hey, it’s all smiles in the Healey camp, as they come out with something that is surely an indication of how she will govern: a PowerPoint presentation. This one’s got polls in it, with bars and graphs and gosh, you can pop some popcorn, put it on your whole screen and do a slide show.
Her internal polling shows her closing the gap, most especially with Patrick. Gabs still crushes her. And everyone says her ads are just swell.
Anyway, worth a look, just so you know what her campaign is telling itself. Some of it might actually be true. Thanks to the Sages of Beverly for this one — and congrats on the leak.

…that presentation scared the shit out of me. It contained all my worst fears about us repeating all of the same mistakes all over again.

A solid reason to vote for Gabrieli–never mind that he’s the only Dem who can afford to fight Healey the day after the primary.

Editors, I tried to warn you about Deval a long time ago. Now you join that long list of fellow Dems who I hope are right, but fear will be wrong.

Ironic, no postings yet on this diary. Even though this diary contains a huge coup of Healey data. I guess folks just want to talk about Ciller Koke and JonBennet.

Frank, I respect you and Gabrieli a ton. But an internal poll, released to the press 11 weeks before Election Day, showing that she’s inching up on everyone and still substantially trailing the guy that’s setting records for spending — that’s freaking you out?

If their numbers and spin are true, it’s actually not surprising. I can’t imagine anyone really thought the early polls that put her way behind all three Dems were going to hold. She’s extremely rich, and the GOP’s been winning the governor’s race for practically a generation. It’s not and won’t be a cakewalk — not even for the guy who can print money. Game on.

On the other hand, it’s an internal poll, always to be taken with a grain of salt. And the “focus group response” slides were pure happy talk for that campaign. Who knows — that may be the real response from jes’ folks, but you can’t tell that from what they present.

Are her ads moving numbers? Doubtless. Have Gabrieli’s? Of course. Will Patrick’s? Definitely. Reilly’s? Maybe — and his are the most adversarial against Healey. It’s a real race, and anyone who expected otherwise was dreaming.

Unfortunatley this confirms all the reasons why I was supporting Gabrielie to begin with, his appeal to moderate voters and his progressive credentials in one super wealthy package that could compete with Healey’s money.

Also this information has summed up the deal for Deb Goldberg. We need all the money we can get to win this fight. I can see the allure of a Deval/Andrea ticket but they wouldn’t have two nickels to rub together after the primary and once again we would lose the corner office. This fight looked almost as good as going up against Jane Swift and now it looks like we could botch the whole thing up.

Looks like I will be voting for the largest bank accounts on September 19th.

will give us both deep pockets (Chris), a strong one-two punch of job creation and a real working mom who can appeal to other real working moms.

Today’s Globe reports that Gabrieli has only raised $370,000 since jumping into the race in March. Patrick has raised almost that much in AUGUST ALONE. Where is this groundswell of support we keep hearing about?

Gabs’ can pour his personal fortune into his wooden TV commercials all he wants, but I’ll take my chances with Patrick across the debate podium from Healey any day of the week.
