Primary day in Connecticut seemed like a good day to inaugurate a new feature: a box with links to the best lefty blogs we’ve found that cover the goings-on in other New England states. It’s in the right-hand sidebar. There’s some important stuff going on in addition to just Lieberman/Lamont. New Hampshire has an excellent congressional race, with Democrat Paul Hodes trying to unseat incumbent Republican Charlie Bass; in Vermont, long-time lefty Rep. Bernie Sanders is trying to take over the Senate seat of the retiring Pat Leahy Jim Jeffords (whoops – thanks Jennifer); and of course Rhode Island represents one of the Democrats’ best chances to pick up a Senate seat. Several states also have Governor’s races going on. I couldn’t find much in Maine, so I just linked to Daily Kos posts that have a “Maine” tag – let me know if you know of an actual Maine blog.
Stop by, and tell ’em BMG sent you!
It is Jim Jeffords who is retiring not Pat Leahy.
Sorry. Updated.
I am not nearly as interested in them as the Recommended User posts (and presume others feel the same). Plus, they are essentially static content, and I don’t need to glance at them 8 million times over the course of the next few years of surfing BMG. Put them lower down, and I’ll surf over occasionally or if I am looking for them to start with.
