New Hampshire Dems are raging the stage, raising way, way more money than the state GOP. Guess who’s trying to narrow the gap?
The state Democratic Party raised $540,936 for the reporting period, spent $486,246 and has $54,690 remaining.
The Republicans did not do as well, raising $90,396, spent $81,163 and have $10,563 remaining. Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney’s Commonwealth PAC gave the party $20,000 and Guinta for Mayor donated $19,000. [my emphasis]
Wow … so you can just swoop in and dump 20 large on a state party like that? You wonder why Our Guv is getting such nice warm receptions from GOP-folk in far-flung states? Is it because of his rock-ribbed conservative credentials? I think it was noted Southerner Churchy La Femme who said, “It is to LARF!”
In any event, please don’t feel the slightest bit guilty in donating to Democrat Paul Hodes’ campaign to unseat NH US Rep. Charlie Bass on the BMG ActBlue site. After all, Mitt’s gone national — we’ve gotta make up for Mitt.

Bill Clinton?

… but I have to wonder how much of the good will he’s enjoying is just flat-out bought, considering he’s been anything but a down-the-line conservative. But my eyes are open; I realize that’s how things are done.
