I hope the critics will soon realize that Murray can win and help the ticket. He is a well-rounded person and can help the ticket better then Goldberg and Silbert.
It’s great to say you for this or that or that you create jobs again using our tax dollars. It’s another thing getting things done with a proven track record. In Goldberg case she is misleading the public and no wants to talk about it.
I think Murray’s has the ability and the energy to fight for cities and towns in a manner that will get results. Let’s face he knows what doors to knock on, and what players are invovled. He has worked as a team player. His demeanor is one that all invovled will see is one that works for the majority, not the minority. A middle class person with middle class family values. Check his recod out, and yo will see it’s the real deal, not make believe or misleading statments.
Go Murray !
I had heard that they were set to go up after Labor Day weekend but that their August fundraising, which has gone very well, allowed them to purchase an additional buy and get up earlier.
You’re so fixated on Silbert’s success helping to create thousands of jobs from a non-profits that I had to make that point.

Have you ever thought where the city of Worcester gets it’s funding from? It’s called taxes. I have no problem with it and feel the City has done very well with the current City Manager… and Mayor Murray has done a great job presiding over the City Council. So next time you take another gratuitous whack at Silbert’s effort to help create jobs, recognize that your candidate uses taxes to do his job.

Regarding Goldberg, I agree with you that she’s out of touch with most people and has exagerated her role in hiring firefighters in BrooklinE.
Mayor Murray is a public servant, so I guess your brain trust remark is right. But thanks for telling everyone that he is a elected official. What office has Silbert held? When did she answer to 170,000 citzens? Mayor Murray has a record whether you like it or not, he is and has been accountable to taxpayers, not taking taxpayers money like Silbert. Besides Silbert needs to wake up, and realize that soicial services groups need to be asked tough questions before moving in our neighborhoods ???? I guess the 5% homeless rate is pretty good for Harwich residents, what about Boston, Cambridge, Lowell, Worcester, Fall River, New Bedford, and many other major cities.

Go Murray !
Mayor Murray is a good public servant and deserves credit for much of Worcester’s recent successes. Andrea Silbert has been a nationally recognized leader in small business development and job creation. Both are good Democrats who would each add to our party’s ticket in November.

Your often illogical rants against Andrea Silbert and non-profits do nothing to help your favored candidate for LG. If I were undecided in this race and read most of your comments, I’d be less inclined to support Murray.
<

Thanks for easing up on the CAPS, though.
It’s funny how one can say a remark is illogical when it does not favor the person your supporting. Face the facts, Andrea may have assisted in creating jobs, but is was with non profit status. Can you honestly say that with the money the federal/state government gave her it did not help her create the thousands of jobs thate she is now touting?
<
p>
Andrea is a smart person who should realize that this big time and one must be ready to ask and receieve tough questions. It’apparent she is not ready for prime time.
<

Hurry,hurry vote for Murray!
…juvenile comments and you might personally drive Silbert into office.

Yes, Andrea leveraged public and private dollars to help create jobs. Why is that a bad thing? Ever hear of R&D Tax Credits? Our “government” decided to give private companies a break on certain expenses… to help them invest in new technologies… and to save and/or create jobs. Are you opposed to using government to help spur the economy? How do you feel about Silbert and Murray’s interest in spending taxpayer dollars on commuter rail? Don’t you see how it’s all very similar to supporting a non-profit that helps individuals get jobs and start businesses? I write all this not expecting or even wanting you to respond… in fact, please don’t. I’m just hoping someone else on this blog reads it and gets my point.
I have to say both Silbert and Murray have done fantastic jobs in different fields of course. I truly respect that Silbert helped create all these jobs with or without tax money. If the goverment is going to spend my money I would hope that they are trying to get new high income jobs to help are economy prosper. Besides I’am sick and tired of seeing lazy middle aged men and woman do nothing and sit around receiving a check from our goverment every week while I work my ass off. Assisted living welfare whatever you want to call it makes me sick. The people Andrea helped were ambitous Americans who just needed a little bit of help getting into the door. Tim Murray the mayor of Worcester has just shown me so much over the years that you know what he has done and you know what he’s going to do. He has demonstated leadership that is unseen in this field. He isn’t afraid to say when it is or isn’t working. Maybe too Andrea Silbert would act in this manner but I don’t vote on just high hopes I vote on the capability of a candidate.
Come on, your kidding yourself if you think that Andrea’s position is the same as giving a business a “TIF”. It seems that you do know a bit about nonprofits so “hopefully” we can have a discussion over how Andrea’s nonprofit enterprise has created so many jobs. I am all for helping a person or a business, however one has to understand that, if government does help and lends one assistance then it should be a priority of that business to give back in some financial way.
I have not seen anywhere where nonprofits other then our churches etc… have been spark to our econmic enigine. Any Andrea’s ability to tout her record on jobs is a bit of a strecth.
<
p> She has had the help of the tax payer to start and then as she says create jobs. I ask, because I do not know. What types of jobs, what is the average salary of these jobs? It’s great that people are working under ths enterprise, but let’s face it, she needed the governments help in doing so.
