Thank you, David & BMG – clearly, Bonifaz, the unions, and now the reporters have demonstrated that you are the true source of news in Boston. Vennochi can get some credit, but at BMG, we all knew the story broke wide open right here (well, of course minus all that email trail evidence).
I posted the “Reilly Factor & Killer Coke” diary originally as a comment on late Tuesday night / early Wednesday, then again as a diary a day later, and we have finally seen some action! Thanks to whoever recommended it, too.
Front Page News on the Boston Globe Today – Inside Today! “Reilly & Killer Coke”. Now tell me that all these reporters & politicians & unions aren’t getting their ideas from this website. This is a testament to the impact of blogs as a political tool – and that David is our “Kos”.
There was too much coincidence for this not to be true.
Note that Guarino is more than just a campaign worker – he worked for the state in the AG’s office for a while, after being a writer/blogger for the Herald, and made many of these connections (people in healthcare – the SEIU 1199 endorsement of Killer Coke last month??) during his days working for the state as well. There was always a concern of foul play in the Reilly campaign. Look at this: http://www.commoncau…
Reilly should quit the race today – this underhanded approach to campaigning breaks ethics rules, and he as an Attorney General knows it. This goes beyond abuse of power – he may believe his prosecutor & judge friends will go light on him. However, the public must recognize that his desperate attempt to regain position in the primary was not the kind of behavior that our state deserves in a Governor. There is no way that Guarino and Reilly did not communicate on this matter; Reilly had to have been involved in this illegal smear tactic.
There must be justice – BMG people, help me out in calling for Reilly’s resignation from the AG office, and demand that he drop out of the primary. Whether or not he listens, he will have to respond to this outcry – and he deserves any dip in the polls that he receives.
