One of Gabrielis campaign promises is to hold himself accountable” a promise I frankly am getting sick of hearing. Does anyone know what it means? Does anyone know how exactly it is done? When he screws up, does he resign? Does he make up for cost overruns, inefficiencies etc. by funding with his own money? I suppose he could.
I also think it a bit arrogant a promise. Gubernatorial accountability? Isnt that why God made voters and elections and legislatures?
I like Healeys attack ad much better. At least it has the real ring of Republicanism. Nothing matters save the assumption of power. Truth be damned. A billion dollars of taxpayer money to Gabrielis companies in stem cell research, indeed. Like that would ever happen; like she actually thinks it could. Apparently they are on the same page when it comes to oversight, though. Healey thinks there is none at all and Gabrieli that he will have do it all himself. They might be right. We probably wont have Reilly to prosecute either of them.
