Well, not exactly.
But in all the excitement surrounding the Democratic primary election yesterday, I thought this interesting tidbit shouldn’t get lost in the shuffle:
Christy Mihos, independent candidate for governor, said Monday that he will take a Democratic ballot at the polls tomorrow and vote for his second choice in the race. “I’m voting for the person, next to me, who would provide the best leadership for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts if it’s not me” who wins in November, he said.
Who will that be, he was asked. “It’s a secret ballot.”
…
But Mihos may have offered a hint on Sept. 5 in an interview with Jim Braude on the New England Cable News program “NewsNight.” He said if a Democrat won in November, he would prefer it be Deval Patrick.
cos says
Well, that’s a reasonable circumstantial case to make that Christy Mihos voted for Deval Patrick. But voting for someone, and endorsing them, are not at all the same thing. So far, it’s safe to say that Christy Mihos endorses Christy Mihos for Governor.
