A big hat tip to alert commenter johnk, who calls our attention to this gem from the “Let it Rip” segment of the morning news show on Fox25. I don’t know anything about the personalities on that show, not being much of a morning TV news person, but if this is all the respect Healey can muster from the network that at least theoretically should be cutting her some slack, she’s got a long six weeks ahead of her.
There are too many money quotes to list them all. This exchange starts at about 1:10:
Woman: Come ON! You don’t say, “hey, one of us is gonna win this thing, so get these other two out of the way.” How arrogant and elitist is that?
Man: You don’t say “one of us is gonna win” when you’re down 39 points in the latest poll, too. Really? I guess I know which one, as of now anyway!
Check it out.

THIS WILL BE A VERY INTERESTING ELECTION INDEED!!!!!

I’m really glad that she was obviously so bad that not a single one of 4 Fox presenters can muster up any sympathy.

I wonder if her manner would have gone over any better if she wasn’t botoxed into oblivion. Being able to move her facial muscles might help her look more sympathetic, and less like a rich b*tch from Beverly Farms.

I’ve never seen the Fox morning show either, but I guess I know why they call this segment “let it rip.” If this gaffe doesn’t fade away soon expect to see some personnel changes over at the Healey campaign.

I never thought I would see a segment like that from Fox 25. Healey is in serious trouble.

I pretty much watch it every morning and I have to say that it really is pretty “fair and balanced”…this is coming from a lifelong Democrat

Healey is backfiring on herself big time. She is calling attention to her own deficiencies as a candidate and debater by trying to exclude Mihos in particular. What about meeting his charges head on and having a little honest give and take? She can’t unilaterally set the agenda.

Still she has reason to be desperate. The tax issue seems to have been turned against the Republicans very effectively, when we’re arguing about how much in additional “revenues” Romney collected n/w his no new taxes pledge. That just goes to show how bogus these pledges are–a point that will resonate with the public.

Now, we need to continue to define the discussion! Turning the points around is great, for those in the population who continue listening long enough to get it. I’m just concerned about the next head rearing of ‘cop killer defense’ or ‘alien lover’ or whatever the talking point is. Healey obviously can’t win on her merits, but let’s keep her on the defensive so that it’s tougher for her to throw new mud.

the fox morning show at least for a while between 6 and 7, but for some reason I missed this. Very interesting. VB usually sides with the Republicans, or any tax roll-backers, but he is worth listening to and often is pretty entertaining at least. What was unusual is that all four seemed to agree and that doesn’t normally happen. Glad someone put this up here. Sounds like Kerry Healy is in trouble. But I wouldn’t count her out. As they say it is a long way from here to the election. Sounds like Christy Mihos is planning to be a thorn in her side.

Such freedom of thought is completely unacceptable for a Fox “reporter”. I imagine by now that the Fox25 newsroom has already heard from Ailes or one of his minions…

one of the commentators paired this debate squelching move with Mitt’s grab of the microphone yesterday to complain about points made by both Deval and Christy during the debate – I think Mitt’s move had a real “Kerry running to daddy to make it all better” feel to it…
<
p>
Deval AND Christy should step up the attacks next time on the Romney/Healey administration and if she wants to create distance there they should immediately call on her to ask him to please stop doing things that hurt Massachusetts – is she willing to ask him to stop lampooning MA when he’s on his Pres candidate speaking tour, for example?

…that the fat guy standing in front of the State House, delivering the harshest criticism of Muffy Healey is “VB,” who used to be a producer on WRKO’s Howie Carr show, where he could be relied upon to echo Carr’s right-wing, brainless sloganeering.
<
p>
If a right-winger like “VB” attacks Muffy like he did today, Muffy’s in serious trouble.

By the way, searching through the comments section, I was surprised that nobody knew who the fat guy was.

She’s not beaten until November. We need a stake, a mallet, and some holy water to do this job properly — and even then it won’t be complete until the sun rises on 8 November and her ashes scatter to Crawford Texas and an undisclosed location. Still, one does have the feeling that Fox has made up its mind about how the coming election will be decided.

at the same time as this one, you have some nice background music to go with some of the comments.
