Mayor Tim Murray, candidate for Lieutenant Governor, unveiled his position paper on creating jobs and improving economic growth in Massachusetts. The plan was released at the 35th Annual Labor Day Breakfast in Worcester. I was in attendance at the event and got my hands on the press release. The Mayor gave an emotional speech that received rounds of standing ovations.
Mayor Murray noted that his top job as Mayor has been to take the necessary and essential steps to promote economic development and reposition Worcester for long term growth. On the campaign trail Mayor Murray has discussed how he has helped foster over one billion dollars in new economic development plans in Worcester during his three terms as Mayor. In Worcester, he has been able to engage the business and academic communities to help create jobs in Worcester.
“For five years as Mayor of the state’s second largest city, I’ve taken on the challenges and brought people together to solve problems and advance our economy,” Murray stated at the breakfast.
Since entering the race in December, Mayor Murray has released six strategy plans outlining what he’ll do as Lieutenant Governor. To find information on these plans just go to www.timmurray.org click on the downloads section and the click the reports section.
Mayor Murray has shown throughout this campaign that he is the most experienced and qualified candidate in this race. His jobs and economic development plan further solidifies my opinion.
