I am really surprised about the data here. People disagree with his positions, and yet they support Patrick anyway.
I’m a Patrick supporter, but that makes even me shake my head….
But I guess they are considering the bigger picture instead of the specifics:
Asked about the direction of the state, 57 percent of the voters surveyed said they believe Massachusetts is seriously off-track, and 34 percent feel the state is headed in the right direction.
So, it isn’t about the specific policy issues. It is about the larger direction, and people want new leadership.
I keep thinking that facts and data, and actual positions on issues will sway voters. I may have to re-think that.
mem-from-somerville says
was that our neighbors also favor repealing the 1913 law to let other Americans marry, too–48% to 37%.

I was glad to see that.
