Time to dole out the dough for Deval and Tim. You know what to do. As of this writing, we’re $1,110 away from our goal of $2000 by the end of the quarter on Saturday. It’s doable, but if you’re holding back … now’s the time.
So, tonight’s offering: Andre Rieu — with Bond! They’re a Madison Avenue-conceived confection of four women who seem to play unidentifiable variants of string instruments. Now … what exactly are those instruments they’re playing on? And are they really playing them? (And do they play Beethoven’s Grosse Fuge? Shostakovich? Elliott Carter? But I digress.)
Come on, you want it to end, right? Give.
Please share widely!
according to their Wikipedia article, they are a string quartet, two Brits and two Australians, with several best-selling albums on both the pop and classical charts in various countries. Of course, Andre probably explained all that in his intro, but I didn’t follow the German.

PS: Use this BMG-based link, not DavidLARall’s link, since his doesn’t go to the BMG page and won’t add to the takings/shorten the fundraiser here…unless you’re truly into haiku and wish to prolong the pain.
