Continuing our coverage of the LG race, here is Andrea Silbert’s video and live address to the Massachusetts State Democratic Party’s 2006 Convention last summer. Tim Murray’s video and speech are coming soon. Deb Goldberg’s video and address can be reviewed here.
Be sure to catch Silbert and Murray fielding questions from celebrated political analyst Jimmy Tingle this Thursday at Jimmy Tingle’s Off Broadway theater in Davis Square Somerville. A $20 cover buys you a BBQ dinner from Redbones and O’Naturals, good times with Team BMG, and all the politics you can swallow. Requires QuickTime from Apple. Trouble with playback? Click here for a smaller size clip.
NOTE: the file linked below is VERY large (65 MB). The “smaller size clip” linked above is much more manageable.

In politics, a day can seem like a year…BMG doing convention coverage now almost seems stale…why didn’t you post these in June when they were timely? Interesting choice of lead-offs as well…alphabetical? no. the convention winner? no. personal agenda to advance? hmmmm, appears so.

While we are talking about the convention and convention winners (Deval Patrick and Tim Murray)…what did the spectacular state party do for them given that they were the endorsed candidates? The answer is nothing. In years past, winning the convention was worth the effort beyond getting 15%…today it is worth nada…the party is over for the inept and outdated DSC…they are trapped somewhere in the Dukakis era and can’t get out. Let’s gather round in a circle and sing kumbaya.

Looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. You find it interesting, watch; you don’t, fussykins should move on and enoy the singing circle you propose. This isn’t Convention coverage, but additional information about the LG race, and to the best of my knowledge it’s not available anywhere else.

…there is an objective appearance of just a little bit of bias here.

I would consider the issue non-existent if BMG would find and front-page Murray’s and Goldberg’s videos as well.

Goldberg’s is up. Murray’s will follow in due course.

First time I’ve watched the Silbert video and speech. I’ll just say this: both Silbert and Goldberg have come a long way since then.
