A hat tip to Keller, who alerts us to the funny piece over at the Weekly Dig (warning: not work safe!) regarding the unfortunate proliferation of children in political ads ’round here.
My personal favorite line, in which the authors doubt the wisdom of having Andrea Silbert’s kids deliver the final line of one of her TV ads:
They stumble and lisp through the line, Paid for … by the Committee to Elect Andwea Silbwert. Sure, elocution is tough when youre only three years old, but youll never get a jobby wobby until you talk like a grownup, kiddo. Our grade: F.
Gabs and Murray get the treatment too. Read the whole thing.
Please share widely!

Folks, please, before you put up a user post that just notes a story in today’s papers, read the front page and the user posts that came before you.

This Keller nod to Weekly Dig (with minor contrarian analysis, thank you) is in the Ernie archives

I don’t do this for my health David.

Political reporter Joe Battenfeld did a segment on this very issue last night. He interviewed Silbert about it and presented the use of kids in ads as a very positive, smart thing to do.
