This is my first diary here – I’ll be brief – this post at dailykos:
details how Bush and Congress have done an end-around on Posse Comitatus, in effect authorizing Bush to grab the National Guard from one state and use them in another state, as police forces, if he deems it necessary. The kicker? He can do it over the objections of both state’s governors! It looks to me like thios is breaking news – it’s a huge issue for the gubernatorial campaign, and someone needs to make sure that Deval is aware of this.
I wonder what Healy thinks of this move by her party’s leaders? It’d be a shame for a real issue to intrude on her smears, wouldn’t it?

This is a huge issue – many governors aren’t even aware that this end-run has been performed, they snick it through several weeks ago in a defense appropriations bill. The Patrick campaign may well not be aware of this, unless they’re watching kos…
