When Healey moved on, I asked the woman- presumably a staunch Healey supporter- about the conversation. “I am from the state of Illinois,” the woman said, looking slightly baffled. “I don’t know her beliefs; I don’t know what her stands are, or anything. I don’t know why she said that. Has she been ill?”
Priceless, isn’t it. Kind of sums up the whole campaign. Even Mitt Romney knows it’s a lost cause. Who’s going to break the news to Kerry Healey?
