Healey rumored to counter Patrick rally with one of her own

Not to be out done by Deval’s rally and following up on her incredibly successful book tour, rumor has it that Kerry is planning a rally of her own.

A Night for Fright – “because you have to get out the fear before you get out the vote” promises to be a one to remember.

When you say? Would you believe October 31! All Hallows Eve. That date just feels right doesn’t it.

There are lots of details to be hashed out but we have a few:

  • Mitt Romney will make a rare appearance in the state and will be decked out as Lord Dark Helmet.

  • Reed Hillman will come dressed as a Storm Trooper.

  • Kerry Healey will get down with her criminologist self and appear as the Evil Emperor.

  • Please, no Dick Cheney costumes. Kerry doesn’t want her picture taken with Dick Cheney real or not.

  • Prizes will be awarded for the best Willie Horton costume.

  • We also hear our friends at Hub Politics will be coming as Pinky and the Brain. We think this hardly qualifies as a costume, but c’est la vie.

We will release more details as they are leaked to the press.

PS – we also hear there is a new Deval Patrick video coming out as follow-up to his insidious “A New Hope”. Its working title is “Deval Strikes Back”.

  1. I actually got fired up about this before I saw that it was a Caralis/DemsForHealey event. Lord knows that the one place Healey doesn’t want to challenge us is the ability to draw a crowd…I smelled blood, but alas it was satire.

  2. I hope Dems are invited.  Then Ted K. can come as Obi Wan Canobi or…..(forgive me) Jabba the Hut.

  6. If it will be anything like her primary snoozefest bash, I wouldn’t exactly call it a rally so much as a congregation of dozens! Maybe hundreds!

    The sad thing is even if 1/3 of the people go to this “rally,” the media will give it at least equal – if not more – press coverage.

    • Couldn’t help but notice her little brunch at the Egg and I same day, got lead story and longer footage on some local news channels than the more news worthy event of Deval Patrick’s rally. There were 8 or 10 people sitting around a table, choking down some dry toast, while listening to her explain how it’s not easy to get the amount of funding you want approved for this or that, blah-blah-blah. “Really, it’s not. We ask for so much and they say No. What can we do? It’s not our fault.” ARGGH Get out of our face you nut-job!
