Come on Deval debate The Lt.Governor one on one.
Stop ducking and sitting on your lead, and using Christy and Grace as human shields. You might win this race but you are acting like a big chicken!!! The convict suits should be replaced with Chicken suits.
Please share widely!

who supposedly was a big Gabrieli backer?

And the truth comes out: this one’s no Democrat. Troll all the way. Thanks for playing!

He’s a helpful advertisement to vote Democratic. He is welcome here in MHO!

I don’t think he’s afraid, I think he knows that having the other two benefits him, so why not keep them there? I do agree, however, that there should be one debate with just the two of them, it’s only fair.

Be careful what you ask for…

Patrick would demolish Healey in a 1-on-1 — at least the other two provide some comic relief!
publius says
in the poll numbers Andy Hiller floated today. Her negatives are over 50%.
<

The only reason to debate her one-on-one would be if failing to do so was a bigger political risk than debating her. It isn’t. And there are two more debates scheduled, so the “he’s ducking her” line can’t develop any traction.
<

Please don’t tell us the public demands it: they’re doing nothing of the kind.

And using the phrase “it’s only fair” with regard to Healey would be laughable if she had not so dishonored the process and herself with it. She has run a dirty, personal, and racist campaign. The hell with her.
aaronusa says
I never said he was. Nor did I say that the public demands it. I just think that it’s reasonable to ask that of the 6 debates (or whatever it is) one of them be between the two with a credible chance of winning. That’s the way they did it in 2002, why not now?
Campaigns are dirty and personal, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. Racist is a different story…is KH racist? I have no idea, but I’m not persuaded that she has run a racist campaign.
melanie says
but she has used Patrick’s identity as the subtext of her campaign. She should know better. It’s a big mark on her character, and also makes it look as if she is not in control her own campaign.

Last time I checked there will be 4 candidates for Governor on the ballot on Nov. 7; it’s an affront to the democratic process to automatically rule out any one of them (even Healey) before election day.

Here’s an idea, tho:

Let’s have Muffy and Deval go at it, and set up a separate debate between Mihos and Ross. The “winners” of each of those debates (Deval and Ross/Mihos?) get to face off against one another in the “finals” and the two losers of the first round (Healey and Ross?Mihos?) play for the bronze. (Odd one out gets the booby prize.) That would be some fun, wouldn’t it?

Seems Kerry is so very…. hypocritical. She double-dog dares Deval to debate her one-on-one, but she can’t seem to come down off that high horse to attend a forum to discuss crime and health care in, wait for it…

Roxbury

A coalition of community groups, including the Ten Point Coalition, the Black Ministerial Alliance, and the Greater Boston Interfaith Organization, has sought for months to get the two major candidates to agree to a forum to discuss crime and health care. Though Healey insists in debates that both topics are dear to her, she declined to take the groups up on their offer, Brown said.
The forum, which is scheduled for Thursday in Roxbury without Healey’s involvement, is the sort of thing you might expect the career criminologist to be interested in. But she has apparently decided that there is little benefit to her in participating. She refused to meet last Monday with the Black Ministerial Alliance, as well.

What’s up with that?
