Anybody have access to post the questions on the questionaire?
Maybe, just maybe, we can get to the bottom of this.
(RenMan Quote) BTW, my hat’s off to Tim Murray for his questioning of Kerry “Pray for Me” Healey yesterday on this. What a scene that was! She’s quoted by the camera that she wants to talk about the gun issue, and lo and behold, Tim Murray is right there with a question and she dodges the question on camera!!!
Please, please let’s see her try to explain her contortions and shifting positions on this one in tomorrow nights debate.
Kerry we’re all praying for you! Praying you don’t come down with the “Romney Flu” and therefore can’t show up a tomorrow’s debate.
Please share widely!

is here. Oddly, it only has 14 questions, and many of them aren’t exactly “right answer/wrong answer” sorts of affairs. So the grading must be pretty subjective. Here’s how they explain it.

The questionnaire is actually one of the worst-written things I’ve seen in a while. Some of the questions make little sense; some others tell you absolutely nothing about current issues surrounding guns and gun control. (Who, for example, seriously advocates “eliminating” the “hunting tradition”?)
peter-porcupine says
He filed a bill to change the 500 ft. rule to 500 yds., for the express purpose of putting a rod & gun club – which is now in a neighborhood WHICH WAS BUILT AFTER THE CLUB WAS ESTABLISHED 75 YEARS AGO – out of business, and to make hunting more difficult statewide by creating new ‘zoning’ for hunting, and geting it out of traditional areas.
<
p>
Think THAT isn’t against eliminating the ‘hunting tradition’?
tom-m says
Is there much hunting going on in that Rod & Gun club? Sounds traditional…
shillelaghlaw says
Does GOAL use that particular questionnaire for every race, or do they possibly have a special one for the gubernatorial candidates?
theopensociety says
If you look at GOAL’s website quickly, it almost looks like they are supporting Deval Patrick. Nice picture of Deval and Bill Clinton.
leftisright says
Do you believe that local licensing authorities should have the power to choose which law abiding citizens can use
firearms for personal protection based on their own personal beliefs or should it be based on a finding of facts about
the applicant?
o The chief should be able to deny applicants based on reasons outside the laws specific criteria.
o The chief should only deny someone based on a finding of facts.
o The chief should issue the license if the person passes a background check regardless of their
personal beliefs.
o The chief should list the reasons for the denial or restriction.
<

no mention of sgtripping away there authority to approve licenses. I wonder how she answered.
peter-porcupine says
There are some chiefs who will not issue licenses, regardless of the person, their responsibility, etc., because they do not think that private citizens should have guns under any circumstances.
<
p>
How nice for them.
<
p>
For those concerned about civil rights, I would think this would be a violation. But, rarely to liberals make complaint. They are too busy worring about the civil rights they happen to approve of. and before you call me harsh, consider this – NOBODY involved with guns or hunting is unaware of this, yet a regular BMG poster calls the question, ‘odd’.
leftisright says
was not the content of the question it was the limited responses that did not include stripping police chiefes of that authority. how do you supposed she answered. Ill tell you something els I know, when police chiefs arbitrarily deny licenses they get sued and loose. But you know that PP…..you know everything.

If anyone gets the Worcester channel 3. watch our chief and his rebuttal to that this evening at 10:00
strikehold says
I would think Deval would be for “Cop Killer Bullets” as they are good for business when he needs work to get criminals off. By the way level III vests will defeat those “Cop Killer Bullets”. I have seen it myself.
renaissance-man says
Apparently it’s Criminologist Kerry “Law and Order” Healey that won’t tell us her position on the Teflon coated bullets… Must be some criminologist position, that we, the unwashed common people, just don’t understand?
<
p>
Why do you think that is? Someone that supposedly is looking forward to discussing all the “Public Safety” issues?
strikehold says
I’ve got a level III 10 year old vest and a box of black talon teflon coated rounds 9mm (issued to me). Let me know I’ll let you fire and the vest. This is a non-issue…
renaissance-man says
I don’t understand:
<

<
p>
What do you mean, you’ll let me shoot the 9mm Black Talon through the vest? What’s that supposed to prove, that it can penetrate the vest? We already know that!
<
p>
This is an issue if Kerry ‘Pray for Me” Healey promised GOAL that she wouldn’t veto legislation allowing the Black Talon Teflon coated bullet. So the question stands, will she put the rights of GOAL members before the rights of those protecting the citizens of Massachusett the on duty Policemen and Policewomen? Why are cops across Massachusetts endorsing Deval Patrick? The state police were with Romney 4 years ago, so no surprise there.
