Other than that, hell, no.

I had a splitting headache this morning. I got a bit too happy last night. I don’t think I could drink tonight.

Nice post. NBC just followed up on the AP report with the same call.

Amazing that the Democrats could take the Senate in a year when 15 Republican and 18 Democratic seats were up. They had to hold 18 seats and take 40% of the Republican seats and they did it. This seemed almost impossible until a couple of weeks ago and still very much a long shot until pretty late last night.

I can remember exactly where I was when the 1994 landslide was called for the Republicans and I remember feeling stunned, absolutely numb.

It’s been a long, long time coming, but the world we live in is a better place today than it was yesterday. Now the goal is to make tomorrow even better yet.

I was just listening to one of the local Roanoke channels. The reporter stated scornfully that AP and NBC had called the race for Webb, but there was nothing official locally. The media is saying that it’s all very confusing and provisional ballots have not been counted. There is a lot of anger down here on the part of conservatives. If I hear any local stories, I’ll let y’all know. Webb is the winner (unless Allen starts playing with the tabulations).
