The governor has authority over the state fire marshal so as to exert pressure and straighten out this bizarre one-sided pissing contest going on in Danvers.
Kudos to the feds.
I can’t wait for that report. Veiled allegations and innuendo (or worse) of code violations that can not be proven because they were not allowed timely access to the site. Implications that state and local officials corrupted the scene with their investigations.
The report may conclude “Perhaps this would not have happened if the code violations had been observed by local fire inspectors during their routine inspections.”

while official reports from any of the investigators are important, a far greater priority are the scores of families who need attention right now…Romney’s failure to declare the state of emergency immediately that would trigger federal funds is the true embarrassment.
You have to juggle many balls effectively.
Besides most of these people should be recieving insurance checks buy now. What are’t they getting right now that they need. Is anyone destitute. Is anyone have noo place to go and no $$ in the bank.
Tell me some stories,
I haven’t seen them.
Sure he should ask for fed emergency funds.
But what is lacking right now?
This reminds me of how the state of Rhode Island circled the wagons after the Station fire, because clearly the state had done a negligent job of ensuring that the night club was safe. Remember how quickly the state fire marshall said the inspectors had done everything they should have? In the civil suit, though, the state and the fire inspectors are included in a huge list of defendants.
