T Fares Going Up in January

November 9, 2006 By mike-in-medford

The MBTA Board voted unanimously this afternoon to raise T fares by 45 cents, bus fares by 35 cents and the cost for T passes by 22%.

Glad to see the board is addressing dependency on oil, polution, traffic congestion, etc. Unfortunately, many of MBTA’s customers may consider not using public transportation at all given these increases. Looks like the board is trying to bankrupt the MBTA on purpose.

See the Boston Globe article.

Is ACE going to organize a fight against it? I sure hope so.
