The Patrick/Murray Transition has announced its first two community meetings, which are open to all members of the public and the press. From today’s press release:
Acting on the pledge to lead an inclusive and active grassroots government, the Patrick/Murray Transition Team will host the first in a series of Community Meetings this Friday, December 1st in Boston and Amherst to address issues of concern to local residents and receive input on the best priorities for the incoming administration. Governor-elect Deval Patrick will address the Higher Education Community Meeting in Amherst before the group hears from local residents….

There is much more to come, of course — every working group will be holding public meetings like these. We at Civic Engagement are still working out some logistics for our public meetings, but look for an announcement by sometime tomorrow (he said, optimistically).

* I’d like to reiterate my suggestion from another post about creating RSS feeds that people could subscribe to, depending on the topic area of interest (higher ed, workforce development, grassroots, etc.)
