Joan Vennochi points out the hypocritical things the Deval has been doing since elected. You know, corporate funding of unprecedented five day bender, Tim Murray schilling for Bectel lobbyists, non-disclosure contracts (and if they do disclose? – you don’t need a contract to remove them), and now he wants an out door inauguration. (Hey Deval, there is a reason the Super Bowl is never played in the northeast)
Not alot being talked about here on BMG about that stuff.
Then it hit me.
Remember Clinton bombing the aspirin factory? Or the things Bush does everyday?
Of course. A diversion.
BMG throws itself on a grenade to keep the evangelical base (far lefties) staying the course. Forget about the real world. It is about the base. And BMG is the center of the base. Instead of the talk being “what’s Deval doing” it is “See, everyone is against us.”
Or, is BMG jumping the shark with this childish tantrum complete with a demand for a pound of flesh?
P.S. If you like this post please reccommend it. That will keep it on the front page.
…WHO was that EOT nominee again?
hardly anyone has written about the inaugural on BMG‘s front page. You’d think no one here cared about it.
Sucker
can someone do it for him
David, you know Ernie doesn’t read my posts. Too rah rah, too much Kool-Aid, you know.
You are the reason I started posting here. Of course I read your posts.
Can u feel the luv?
At least I can see where you’re coming from with your other points, but how is wanting to hold the ceremony outdoors so more people can attend hypocritical? We’ve inaugurated President’s in some pretty cold weather, and to the best of my knowledge its only killed one. Besides, I’ve sat outside for much longer than that at a Patriots playoff game and survived. Now I’ll probably stay home and watch on NECN, but I think you’re stretching to include this idea on your list of hypocritical acts.
If we’re doing a “wag the dog” number here, what’s the dog? What are we creating a diversion to cover up? Did I miss something? checks Inbox, scratches head
seemed just plain vacuous to me. The best response I thought involved rotational occular exercises.

By the way, lots of liberals had a very ambivalent feelings about President Clinton. The Nation, for example, was very suspicious about the aspirin factory bombing.

Wearing conservative “us vs them” goggles, it’s probably easy to think that all Democrats from Kerrey to Kerry, from Lieberman to Boxer form a single unified amorphous enemy clump.

We don’t.
Calling someone’s argument stupid is really no way to respond to it. How would the ADA view this whole issue, I wonder.
but because there wasn’t enough substance to think about changing my opinion or think about disagreeing with her.
I am looking forward to the parade on Columbus Ave.
So, who was that EOT nominee? Mr. Atrios?

This is what I meant – the Lege will do all it can to throw tantrums and foster a bread-and-circuses attitude.

Ball watching, people!
