That’s quite nice of you, but you seem to be forgetting something.
When Romney was sworn in 4 years ago, he took an oath to serve the Commonwealth of MA. He was afforded all of the good will and courtesy from the taxpaying residents of MA that any newly-elected official should expect.
<
p>
But by his words and his actions, Mitt Romney has betrayed those same residents, especially by traveling around the country for the past 18 months bad mouthing Massachusetts while carrying water for George Bush. It’s got less to do with “different ideas”, than it does with his pitiful “performance” as Governor. Mitt deserves much more than a few catcalls, and he’s earned every bit of it.
<
p>
So instead of whining about incivility towards Mitt and playing the GOP victim card, you should give Deval Patrick the same polite applause that Romney got from the rest of us when he was sworn in.

Fact: Massachusetts Democrats have a supermajority in the legislature and can override anything Romney wants to do or enact anything they like and they exercise their supermajority powers with frequency. That whining you heard was from your GOP apologist counterpart PP, who seems to think that it was uncivil for anyone to say something hurtful to Mitt Romney.
The Dems “supermajority” couldn’t stop Mitt from traveling around the country trashing MA ( and kissing Bush’s ring) instead of governing. He was out of the state for more than 200 days last year, traveling on my nickel preparing the groundwork for his ill advised WH run.

p> Here’s Paul Grogan who headed up a task force for Romney, speaking about Mitt’s ‘Massachusetts bashing’:
<
p>
Romney’s critics point to comments he’s made in front of audiences in more conservative states — most famously he told a South Carolina audience, “Being a conservative Republican in Massachusetts is a bit like being a cattle rancher at a vegetarian convention” — as evidence that he is insincere on this point. Even some of his allies are hard pressed to offer an adequate defense.
<
p>
“The Massachusetts bashing does get a little uncomfortable for those of us who have chosen to work with the governor,” Grogan, of the Boston Foundation, said. “Usually governors are crowing about their state’s accomplishments. Those of us who follow the political complexities of a moderate New Englander getting the Republican nomination understand where some of that might be coming from, but it still is a bit jarring to see when you open up the morning paper.”
<
p> Here’s Mitt, speaking at the RNC 9/1/2004, kissing Bush’s ring: “I want George W. Bush! We need unwavering leadership. America is under attack from almost every direction. We have been attacked by murderous, crazed terrorists, even in this great city. Our employers and jobs are threatened by low cost, highly skilled labor from abroad. American values are under attack from within.”..
<
p>
“We step forward by never forgetting that America is a force for good in the world, fighting for freedom and human rights.
On this, there is no question: George W.Bush is right and the Blame America First Crowd is wrong! Americans will rise to every challenge we face.”..
<
