The National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis, built in and around the Lorraine Motel where Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated on 4 April 1968, is a wonderful memorial to the leader: a two-building history lesson packed with information. Although King’s life is central to the Museum, it reviews and explains far more. I took this picture of the balcony where King was shot yesterday. Don’t miss the Museum if you are in Memphis.
