AmberPaw, I’m not a lawyer. Not being legally trained I have no way to evaluate the proposed rules changes. But I am interested to know if you or other qualitifed posters see anything especially useful, or smart, or odd or disastrous, or whatever in the proposal.

For three major sets of changes to be posted for Notice and Comment in this short a time is unusual. It will take someone who knows the ways of the SJC far better than I do to say what THAT means. If you look at the “Parable of the Navigator” I posted, I am not a “pilot” of the waters of the “SJC Port”. As an appellate attorney, I can evaluate the “black letter law” aspect of the items up for notice and comment, as well as how I think they impact me as a practitioner. What, if anything, is specific to why the SJC posted these items for notice and comment “now” or what hidden currents there may be, are beyond what I can figure out.
