The whole magazine is supertitled “the car issue” this week.
Contents include a paean to horsepower and a Parade-magazine-style photo pictorial that is basically soft-car porn.
Granted it’s not all that bad–and cars are a big part of modern life and for that reason both interesting and fair game.
But gee, can we expect a special “chainsaw issue” on Arbor Day? How about a photo essay about the Third Reich on Yom Kippur?

Earth day used to be kind of a celebration. A happy time. Yes, yes, there were those Communist plot types who noticed that the first Earth Day fell on the 100th anniversary of Lenin’s birth, but these were the same people who also saw the profile of Ho Chi Minh in the Corita gas tanks.
