It’s now been seven days since I emailed Mark Gallagher, Political Director/Treasurer of The (Ed) Markey Committee asking about Mr. Markey’s position on Cape Wind. I did get a response to the effect of “I’ll get back to you.” Nothing yet.
These are my questions:
1. Does Rep. Markey support Cape Wind?
2. Given his new influential position, does he plan to help move the evaluation process of Cape Wind through Minerals Management Service?
Also, it’s time — past time — to give John Kerry’s office a call and put him on the clock.
Please share widely!

I sort of respect Ted for his opposition at this point. He’s wrong, selfish and greedy, but at LEAST he says what he thinks.

Markey was at Brandies a couple weeks ago (a day after launching the thing with Mayor Menino) and I wish I remember if he said something on that. I feel he said something indicating support for Cape Wind, but it may have just been a vague support of wind energy. He was extremely impressive and I’m glad to have some one with that much experience in energy and environmental issues heading up the climate change and energy independence committee, but if there’s more he could be doing to move it forward, he definitely should be.
