Should be a humdinger, though. Wonder if the Mayor will try to bar the door to over-qualified candidates like he’s doing with Passoni in Dist. 2 so he can get another lapdog in there? I can dream about a change in qualified personnel on the Council, can’t I?

Only 7 days to get signatures now, which shouldn’t be a major barrier to someone who wants to run and has an idea of what’s needed.

That law firm that is home to Tim Schofield and Cathi Campbell ought to be an interesting place today .. both terrific potential candidates if they want to run, Cathi “runs” faster (serious runner). I’m sure there are several other good candidates out there too. An Allston-Brighton race will be particularly interesting given Harvard’s plans, BC’s baseball stadium proposal, etc.

I’m waiting for Aramis Camps’ announcement myself ….where are you Campy?

That Schofield is in!

The addition of Tim to the City Council would be a tremendous asset for Boston. I’m definitely excited about this. Tim will have the ability to raise a lot of money fast, to garner strong progressive support from around the city and beyond, and would bring a perspective that is really missing from the current council.
