Can someone list the spineless Democrats? I keep getting mass e-mails from Congress-people promising they’re going to say “no.” The usual good guys.
So who are the bad guys? I get action alerts, petition notices, requests to call offices–but so far the anger has been directed at the vague “the Congress.”
I’ve been looking at the Library of Congress’ Thomas online, but I cannot find anything concise.
Please share widely!

How about we let them assess the issue, whatever it is, and vote the way they think makes sense? If their conclusion isn’t what their constituents wanted, then they’ll vote the bum out in the next election. I really think jamming their phones and emails to try to register more “me against” than the other side’s “me for” is messing up democracy. It’s unscientific sampling, first of all, so it’s useless, and why should the bum even check what his constituents want, anyway? Poll driven votes lead to inaction and poor decisions. The voters had a chance to ascertain the candidate’s views back during the last election, now it is time for the Congresman to do the job he or she was elected to do, and that’s not count phone calls and just vote the way the most callers want.

That’s the point. We elected them by “ascertaining [their] views back during the last election.” And they lied to us.

I keep trying to do that, but the brain-dead Democrats in my state keep automaton-like pulling the Dimowit lever . . .
