Paul Sullivan’s announcement yesterday that he will not be returning to the 8-12 WBZ airways is such sad news. What a cavernous hole that will leave. He will be sorely missed…his quick wit and pithy commentary, his insight and banter with callers. He always came armed with facts, not rhetoric. Listening over the years has been a wonderful experience. Even when I did not agree with him, he made me really think about issues and sharpen my own arguments.
To me, Paul Sullivan is the king of unvarnished common sense. I hope as he continues to rebuild his energy and health that he will speak out as often as he can to help all of us keep the issues of the day in perspective.
Replacing him in that program slot will be incredibly difficult…the past weeks of fillers prove that point…who wants be the tenor singing after Bocelli?
