I’m planning to be at the State House on Thursday (June 21) at 1 PM (get there early!) to support the Governor’s Municipal Partnership Act (MPA).
The Governor will be speaking, as well as some elected officials and maybe others from around the state.
I hope to see many fellow bloggers there, though I know that a few of us have real jobs (shudder!).
It should be an exciting event, and we’ve really got to hold the Speaker’s feet to the fire on this one.
I posted a list of suggested actions on my blog and included links to MPA info, as well as to suggested letters and lots of other supporting material.
Many, many groups that have been working together on this initiative as well as on the “loopholes” project are turning out their members for this rally. Please join us!
In the last two weeks or so, I’ve been to a public education hearing, ConCon, health care forum, Iraq town meeting and am already planning on going to another MA-05 debate Tuesday, so I guess I now have something to do on Thursday too.

Looks like communication and networking need a little work outside of the Hill.
get on Patrick’s email list.
I attended a fund raiser for Senator Jehlen a couple of weeks back and I’ll damned if I didn’t here the Governor use the term “tax burden” on several occasions.

He also lets slip “property tax relief” way too often.

Just shows you how successful the right wing has been in controlling the discussion over the past umpty-ump years. It’ll be a while before we can purge our vocabulary of their garbage terminology.
