Recently, Rep. Gary Miller (R-Cali) was seen on the Congressional floor wearing shorts, a Hawaiian shirt and slippers. Although rules may be softened in light of the summer months, this is a clear and resounding violation of the Congressional Dress code. Gary Miller was rightly so informed by the presiding chair of the chamber that “Members [are reminded] proper standard of dress in the chamber is business attire, which includes both coat and tie for gentlemen.”
However, the same chair who made this declaration, Rep. Sheila Lee Jackson (D-Texas) is living hypocrisy. Rep. Jackson was seeing wearing a WNBA T-Shirt, as well as another t-shirt thrown over her shoulder, while addressing the House, also during a summer month.
This leaders of the House and the parties are ignoring this problem, dearly hoping it will go away. Meanwhile, the credibility of the members of Congress is being shed away by the sideshow of fashion faux pas being exhibited by it’s members.
I call on Nancy Pelosi: either enforce the dress code of Congress or change the rules and wear a Red Sox jersey yourself.

did you spend creating a trap diary that you knew would either 1) make you look like a twerp, or 2) make you look like a twerp? well in any case, don’t forget to SMILE! đŸ˜€

and lighten the mood before you and John herniate yourself trying to get the Big 3 to kick EB3 off.

By the way, calling me a twerp is a personal attack and I’m really ridiculously offended. Seriously. Haha.
laurel says
cuz i’m outa here for the rest of the day. play nice, and don’t forget to be a good lad and share some of your twerpitude with others. plenty to go around! đŸ˜€

your twerpitude is like a bowl of strawberries, very succulent and fresh, blissfully unaware of its own twerpitudity.

I have said numerous times I am not trying to get EB3 kicked off. He is not just a little out of line at times, he’s a lot out of line most of the time. This is supposed to be a progressive blog with open respectful dialog that leads us all to a better understanding of whatever the subject at hand may be. Are you really shocked that people value that enough to fight for it?
they says
EB3 did lead to a better understanding of the subject: you were being a twerp for sensationalizing the arrest of a dj at a party that wouldn’t turn the music down and who egged on the crowd into disrepscting the police into a cause celebre of gay publicity at the expense of the dj, the dj’s employers, and against the wishes of the dj’s lawyers, and you were called on your thoughtless selfishness by EB3, sabutai, us, and many others.
Stand down.
john-hosty-grinnell says
In fact, people who are investigating this issue further, and actually care about the facts are becoming as disturbed about this as I am. Put the pitchfork down, they’ll be no witch burnings tonight. I will continue to cover the real story elsewhere, where the dialog is moderated to allow disagreement without abuse.
