This sounds like a good debate to go to, if I can, I’ll live blog it.

I’m recovering from a bout of pneumonia (a first for me) and need to limit my activity — but I’ll be back on the campaign trail soon!

Meanwhile, I’d be curious if anyone has an opinion if David Eisenthal’s Inkling Market is anywhere close to capturing the likely outcome of this race. If this is any indication, it’s still wide open, and that squares with my gut:

Eileen Donoghue wants to be on the House Judiciary Committee to confirm the next Supreme Court Justice. Well, that’s a progressive notion except only the U.S. Senate confirms Supreme Court Justices.

Otherwise the debate was same old though Jim Micelli seems to be getting fiesty. It was funny when he admitted that everyone else was progressive except for him.

It was an interesting debate, but I feel that little new ground was covered. I’ll have some thoughts up on my blog either tonight or tomorrow.

“Progressive” does not mean “killing more babies”, which is what PP is all about – Planned Parenthood. I’m all for progress, but get those baby-killers outa there!!

Young women get access to contraceptive services! In point of fact, PP spends more time dispensing pills and EC to PREVENT abortions than it does facilitating them.

Until very recently, contraception was not covered on health insurance as a medication – even though Viagra was from Day One! An IUD runs about $400; pills about $40/mo. It was out of the price range of many young women, even those who DID have health insurance.

MAKING CONTRACEPTION AVAILABLE so women can PLAN when to have children is what PP is all about – and I assure you, the OVERWHELMINGLY DEMOCRATIC LEGISLATURE made that as difficult as possible over the course of time!
