Those in attendance who are exploring possible Green presidential bids in 2008 are:
Cynthia McKinney, the passionate and incisive former Congresswoman from Georgia. Cynthia will address the Green-Rainbow convention as she is being courted by Greens across the United States for a possible run as the Green Party Presidential candidate.
Jerry Kann, Green Party member from New York City, has announced his formal candidacy for the Green Party nomination for President and will address the convention.
Additionally, Joe Lopisi will speak about his potential run for Congress in the 7th CD (Ed Markey-incumbent).
Finally, after workshops on topics of particular concern to Party activists in the morning, we will close with a powerful and unique ?keynote address? by leading experts in the trends of the sub-prime lending debacle and the huge hedge fund interests, peak oil, policies that give developers local governmental control, and huge public and environmentally special land give-aways to large financial interests. This session will be lead by: John Andrews of Massachusetts Coalition of Healthy communities, Jason Wheeler of Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA), and with commentary from Grace Ross.
