No, seriously. He said so.
George W. Bush, the U.S. President, is prone to bouts of crying caused by the stress of his job and claims to have seen ghosts emerge from the Lincoln Bedroom in the White House, according to a new book on his presidency…. “I’ve got God’s shoulder to cry on. And I cry a lot,” Mr. Bush says in Dead Certain: The Presidency of George W. Bush, which was released to U.S. bookstores yesterday. “I do a lot of crying in this job. I’ll bet I’ve shed more tears than you can count, as president. I’ll shed some tomorrow.” …
Perhaps the oddest revelation is an episode from 1992, when his father was president.
The younger Mr. Bush [who was 46 years old at the time] found the White House a “creepy place,” Mr. Draper writes. After exercising in a White House gym one evening, he told a friend he froze in his steps while approaching the Lincoln Bedroom.
Mr. Bush insists “he saw ghosts – coming out of the wall,” according to the friend.

Frankly, I am glad he is crying in the White House. He has made many of the rest of us cry who aren’t there.

And George W. Bush is no exception.

Two, am I mistaken, or does it appear that GWBush has gained a lot of weight over the past few years? My spouse and I remarked on that about a year ago, and we attributed it to what Germans would refer to as “Kummerspeck.” “Kummer” meaning worry. And “Speck” nominally meaning bacon, but in this case referring to the fat around the waistline.

Bush’s presidency isn’t going too well, particularly his little venture in Iraq, and so I would understand the Kummer.

If I recall Nixon would occasionally talk to the Lincoln and Kennedy paintings and he saw Lincolns ghosts once, also to be fair Bill Clinton would cry a lot after fits of rage with staffers.

about this and he says even the angels of death are having a problem dragging him into Hell.

Could he be crying about all the people killed because of his incompetence? At least, that would show he had a conscience, which is more that I've seen to this point.

Didn't Hillary say she saw Eleanor Roosevelt lurking in the house? I believe she held a seance in order to communicate with the former first lady.
