The state GOP has named Robert Willington as the party's new Executive Director.
According to the Boston Globe –
“Willington graduated from Salem State College where he studied political science. His political experience includes working for various politicians' campaigns and managing the VoteOnMarriage.org campaign to gather 170,000 signatures for a ballot question that would have banned gay marriage”.

Does this mean an ongoing, systematic attack on all things LGBT by the MA republicans? At least with Willington in the lead, the MA GOP need no longer be coy about it;s involvement in such actions.
who voted against putting the ant-equal marriage question on the ballot defend this
So, the GOP promotes someone who led the failed campaign against marriage equality which died in the Legislature and trails in public support. They run for Congress a candidate whose main patform so far is not liking illegal immigrants.
Does anyone, anywhere in the Republican Party understand why it's dying outside its Deep South stronghold?
during the voting stage. Rob led the signature effort then moved on to other opportunities.
so he was the guy in charge of gathering the thousands of allegedly fraudulent signatures in the course of that drive. Terrific.
New ED. ED — get it? Huh huh.
…someone from the MA Republican hierarchy, after their recent defeats, suggested that the state party should get away from beating on ante-deluvian social issues like same-sex marriage, and start beating on issues that matter to most people. Transportation costs. Health care costs. Education, and so forth.

This appointment does not bode well for the MA Republican party.
They are saddled with the Bush brand. They bought it. They sold it. They said it would be great. It got us lots of lies. (A recent one: Bush claims 36 countries have troops in Iraq. 36!) It got them memorable incompetence. (The Attorney General, Katrina)
So the idea of them fixing anything is, on its face, unbelievable. They only things they have left are babbling about taxes and scare-mongering about immigrants.
