Question for Niki Tsongas

September 28, 2007 By schoolzombie87

Lots of people die from smoking or second-hand smoke.  If elected would you file a national no public places smoking law? Why or Why not.

Lots of people die from bear attacks.  If elected, would you file legislation to create a national Bear Patrol, making use of police, fire, and civilian resources, sofar as a b2 Bomber with Bear Patrol on the side of it?  Would you raise everyone’s taxes by 5 dollars to pay for it?  Why or why not.

or just two of us?  your options for hate (just kidding) are:
        1.  father & son & holy ghost
        2.  father & son
        3.  father & holy ghost
        4.  son & holy ghost

Today’s reading comes from Laurel. It is from 2 Kings Chapter 2

        <

        p>
23 He [Elisha] went up from there to Bethel; and while he was going up on the way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him, saying, “Go up you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!”

        <

        p>
24 And he turned around, and when he saw them, he cursed them in the name of the LORD. And two she-bears came out of the woods and tore forty-two of the boys.

The footnote to my New Oxford Annotated Bible dryly notes:

Not all ancient writers, to say nothing of modern, would have told a story like this to inculate respect for a prophet.

These verses do read a bit like an incident from South Park in their gratuitous excess of violence.

Only those poor in faith might regard this story as morally regressive.

…and praying for a pack of female attack bears of my own. I’ll be runnin’ Dorchester in no time.  You want a solution to the cities erupting violence – attack bears. Keep this in your thoughts Sunday during prayer time.

          <

          p>
PS – It would be good if during your prayers that you ask that I receive drug-sniffing female attack bears. For enforcement purposes only, of course.  Also note that I’ll settle for a talking ass. That would be one sweet ass.

It also would have zero chance of passing in any case, so there would be no point in wasting time proposing it even if it was thought that the public health benefits warranted it.
